Mat Lee and Gooey Rabinski back with you for another episode of the Hot Box podcast. Everyone’s favorite marijuana podcast! On today’s episode we have documentary filmmaker Sean Patrick Crowell on to talk about his experience creating the documentary Grounded. The film is about Sean’s two uncles, Terry and Jimmy Dougherty, who did a little marijuana smuggling back in the 70s and 80s. Well, maybe not a little, but just watch the trailer and you’ll see. This is such a great story, and I hope you all enjoy our conversation with him. Thanks for checking out the show!
On today’s episode of the Hot Box we have a fantastic chat with Molly Peckler from Highly Devoted. Molly is the dating coach and relationship expert the cannabis community has been waiting for, and after hearing our discussion, you’ll know why. I also want to give a huge thanks to all of our supporters giving us cool stuff to give away. The Vuber Atlas give away has come and gone, and the two winners have been notified. I know you both will love the Atlas as much as I do. I should also mention Herb Boxx for giving us an awesome, elegant box to keep our weed stuff in.
I also want to give a shout to all the pretty stoner ladies on Instagram sending us their #HotBoxPodcast fansigns! Keep them coming! We have a bunch of great interviews coming up, as well as some regular episodes where I get stoned and talk to friends about cannabis. Thanks for listening, and stay tuned for more awesome marijuana love.
The internet is fixed and we have two great interviews for you in this almost two hour long episode of the Hot Box. It’s just our little way of saying thank you. Speaking of saying thank you, keep reading down in the show notes to find out how you can win a free Vuber Atlas from Jim at Vuber Technologies and a Globe attachment courtesy of Andrew at Growers Outlet. Did I mention that it’s free? That’s like pretty much giving you a hundred dollars. I thought I was the one supposed to be making money. I kid. But seriously, you want this vape.
I reviewed it here on Stuff Stoners Like, so check it out, then leave us a comment or send an email to email@example.com with what you would vape in your new Vuber Atlas. Winners will be drawn randomly out of Herb Boxx on Tuesday, July 28th 2015. Read on towards the end of the show notes for the rest of the details. Also be sure to follow Vuber and Growers Outlet on Instagram. You should probably give me a follow while you’re there also.
The re legalization of cannabis for medical, and more recently recreational use has opened the door to a lot of cool new companies. On the Hot Box podcast, I’ve interviewed quite a few, most recently Derek Silverio from Lifted Industry, Alison Parker from Dude Where’s my Ferret, and Marshall Hayner from Trees.Delivery. On Friday I had a chance to chat with Kenya Brantley from Herb Boxx.
Kenya has been kind enough to offer to sponsor the show. You’ve probably noticed that all of the shows I host are ad free. I like to keep them that way for one main reason. I don’t like ads. What I do like is watching all of these new businesses emerge with the birth of the cannabis industry. This happens to be something I’m passionate about. So passionate in fact I moved to Washington to pursue a career in it. You can read about that here on Stuff Stoners Like article about weed refugees. So with that rationale moving forward, sure, if you make something cool, send it to me, and if I think it’s awesome and use it, I’ll be happy to talk about it on the show.
Thanks for checking out episode 155 of the Hot Box. In this marijuana motion picture masterpiece, Mat talks to Alison Parker from Dude, Where’s My Ferret?. They have an Indigogo trying to raise money to make this cool stoner movie. We should all go kick in some funds so they can make this thing. Find out more information here on DudeWheresMyFerret.com. Keep on reading for some show notes and more links!
“I don’t remember, because I smoke so much weed.”
Thanks for checking out another fantastic episode of the Hot Box. For episode 152 we have quite a treat for you. Join us as we talk to Shari Albert and Jessica Blank from Good Medicine TV! If you aren’t in the know, you are now. Good Medicine TV is a funny YouTube reality tv-ish series based in the Dharma Collective, a low end medical marijuana dispensary in Hollywood California. They have two episodes out as of this recording, so make sure to stop by their site at GoodMedicine.TV and show them some love. We thoroughly enjoyed this conversation, we hope you will as well.
