HBP 162: Canna 4 Life Update

Thanks for checking out the show. On today’s episode I once again speak with Nathan Betts from Canna 4 Life in Clarkston Washington to get an update on how things are going with their city council. Doesn’t seem too good. An interesting conversation has been sparked on the Free the Choice in Clarkston Facebook group. It’s sad to see people still clinging to the Schedule 1 excuse. But, that’s how it goes when small town city council humans are allowed to run their little town completely unchecked. Meanwhile in the rest of the state where cannabis has been embraced, people are doing fantastic. It’s really heartbreaking to see how much damage can be done by a few (allegedly) corrupt humans.

I also want to mention we’ll be at Hempfest in Seattle Friday. If you see me wandering around with the fire princess, make sure to say high! Enjoy the show!

It’s not all happy pot plants, sunshine, and rainbows here in Washington. While some towns and counties have completely embraced the cannabis industry, others have not been so inviting. As we’ll hear in episode 158 of the Hot Box, Nathan Betts is living in one such town. But rather than try to shut down the cannabis industry the corrupt “legal way” like was tried in Montana with the medical marijuana industry, this small town city council in Clarkston Washington has gone above and beyond the standards for corruption in any size town. Keep reading for links to more information and what you can do to help. We also announce the winner of the Herb Boxx giveaway. Thanks for listening!

“What do we as American’s value?”

Alright check this out, another week, another fresh episode of your favorite weekly marijuana podcast, The Hot Box. Mat Lee here with some show notes for episode 132. Sorry about the delay while we got another co host together, but I think Kelsie has been doing a great job the last two episodes, so we might as well keep her. You would think it’s not that hard to find someone who can have a somewhat intelligent recorded conversation about cannabis / marijuana, but then you would be surprised. Most people are just weird about having what they say about weed be recorded. I blame the negative stigma the government has drilled into everyone’s head for that one. But seriously, we’re just here to inform, educate, and entertain. If we do at least one of those things each episode, our mission is accomplished. Keep on reading for links to articles. Thanks for listening!
