Special: MMGA Cannabis Conference Part 7

Play

Here is part 7 of the audio from the Helena Montana Medical Growers Assocation Cannabis Symposium that I went to back in September. This is the last talk of the series.

If you would like to show your appreciation for the countless hours spent up late nights when I should have been well in bed for work the next morning, feel free to contribute some motivation in the form of a pay pal donation. At the very least, spread the word about the Hot Box and the MMGA. We’re doing great things for medical cannabis!

This part you will first hear from Talyn Lang, the Missoula chapter head of the MMGA speaking about customer service. With him speaking also is Pam Bouchard. After that we hear from Grant Redfield, who speaks about grow room safety and business operations. Then at the end you briefly hear from J.B. who is the man with Green Point Insurance. This is great stuff, so listen and learn, and I hope you all can gain something from this. I apologize for the quality of the audio, I actually spent an hour or so cleaning it up. You should have heard it before I fixed it. Anyways, this is the last talk from room 2 at the 2010 Helena MMGA Cannabis Conference. The camera ran out of tape so I apologize for not having the rest of the room 2 talks. You’ll just have to try and make it next year, or write to the MMGA head, Jim Gingery, and tell him you want the Hot Box at the conference.

“I just thought of it, I was stoned and I thought of it.”

Welcome, welcome to show number seven, and our first guest Mark! Things are still going super duper well at the office, even though groups out there will have you believe that dispensaries bring crime waves. I haven’t seen one violent criminal act toward myself or anyone else, so maybe you don’t know it ALL.  On a couple lil side notes, Marc Emery is out of solitary confinement!!  He was released at the start of July after nearly four weeks in the hole. Please still write letters and do what you can to show support!! Also there is a Montana Medical Growers Association (MMGA) meeting July 20th at 6:00pm in the Kalispell library, if you’re not from Kalispell go to montanamedicalgrowers.org to see chapters in your area.  Safe Community Safe Kids is about a week away from dead line for signatures but they are just over 8,000 of the needed 25,000 so pretty sure I stand by my previous statement that this was an epic fail.  Finally, testimonials are being requested for use in Helena from Medical Marijuana patients, please send them to ed.tamarack@gmail.com.  Now ladies and gents, light em if you got em cause we’re starting the show!

“Leave weed alone just for a quick hot minute and go deal with that oil spill real quick.”

Welcome to big old show number four, we’re getting up there. It is June and even though we live in Montana it is the time to maybe try a couple outdoor plants.  Just make sure she’s in a safe place away from the street (seriously even if your legal don’t grow in your front yard right now, thanks) and protected from deer or other outdoor vermon that may attempt to tear her apart.  I really recommend a greenhouse which can be as easy as plastic stapled to wood depending on your budget.  And trust me, there is nothing sweeter then smoking your own weed. Now on with the show!

“The main thing we should protect our kids from is ignorance.”

Today was an election day so I hope people made an effort to get out and try to help make better laws happen.  If you’re ever curious about politicians in your state check with norml.org and look for your state voters guide. (Mat in. I tried to find it on the NORML website, but failed miserably. I did find this voter guide by Vote Hemp however, so I hope it’s useful. Mat out.) They are full of helpful information you care about. Now, it’s time for the show.

“This one guy, he affected how everybody is seeing it now, which is really sad.”

We’re back! Not that there was any cause for concern, but everyday that I’m still in business is a good day, and I’m thankful I can still help all my patients. The only little thing that may need to be nipped in the bud quick is certain people thinking that because I have a heart and marijuana leaf on my shirt I will just sell to you… Do you ask a pharmacist for lortab if you see him in his white jacket outside the pharmacy? I am trying to run a business here people! Also, why must you cause accident after accident in the store if you see my work shirt? Display cases, other carts, and other people’s feet are un-necessary casualties of your surprise. I have a pot leaf on my shirt with my name on it. What is this world coming to?
