Ep 103: Flip Flopping

“Here, smoke this, and it’ll be interesting.”

Do you smoke? Are you tired of fighting this ridiculous war? Yeah, we are too. It gets old saying the same things to the same people over and over again. We know, you get it, but you still aren’t off the hook. Tell a friend, help support the shows you love, whether that’s us or another, as long as you support something. For once in your life, be a part of something great. I kid, I kid. But seriously, let’s make a concerted effort to try and preach, not so much to the choir all the time, but to all humans in general. It sucks, I know. Trust me I know. But it simply needs to be done. Keep reading after the break for show notes. You know you love it.

You go from getting the rent on time award, to getting an eviction notice. Yes, I know we’ve talked about this already, I just want to make sure everyone knows how stupid this whole thing is. So tell me, what is the lesser of two evils in this case? It’s much easier to turn tail. Peace!

Have you ever watched Weed Wars? $20,000,000 a year? Keep in mind, we’re talking about Federal Laws, which applies to everyone… Supposedly. How do you determine who is trafficking and / or distributing a controlled substance? Who is operating a legal medical cannabis dispensary, dispensing medicine in a safe and healthy manner, providing safe access for citizens who are within state law? Do you go after the ones who are trying to educate their patients? Do you go after the ones making a lot of money? Is it 99 plants? Do you throw darts at a board what? Please, explain your decision making process.

Making Glacier Health move to Evergreen has had a more negative effect on the patients than it has on the business. Thank you Kalispell for standing up for the people. You are completely ridiculous and out of line letting the feds roll in here and use local resources to bust a business that operates completely within state medical marijuana law. So again I ask you, where is that line?

Trying to censor the internet and legalizing marijuana are two completely different things. I think even if we had the support the SOPA and PIPA opposition had, the marijuana movement would still be spinning wheels. It was an amazing feeling to be a part of something that had such an astounding effect on how open and free the internet will continue being. The Hot Box, The Jamhole, and the Buffer Overflow Show joined the big sites like Google, Wikipedia, Reddit, Wired, etc… all participated in the largest protest in history. This was completely epic, and at the end of the day, it worked.

The more you smoke pot, the better at it you become. You get used to it, and can handle your shit better than those who are not as used to it. Are you experienced? If you listen to this show, I like to think you are. Because we are so good at smoking cannabis, we can handle our shit and our roads are safer. We don’t get impaired, we get relaxed. Check out this study.

Speaking of people who are good at smoking marijuana, Yu Darvish just signed a $60,000,000 deal with the Texas Rangers, then showed up to the Dallas Fort Worth airport wearing a shirt with a pot leaf on it, and the words I will survive. This in turns leads us into the story about Dock Ellis and pitching a no hitter while on LSD.

Ian explains how even though the president may seem like a dictator in some aspects, he can’t legalize weed then peace out like Professor Bluntston from Reefer Rhetoric said in episode 102.5. Apparently it takes congressional orders to change something like that. Please leave us a voice mail rebuttal at 406.204.4687 and let us know what you think. Any and all of you. We love hearing from our listeners.

People can drive with varying amounts of THC in their blood system. Remember, causation does NOT equal correlation. Please pull your heads out of your asses and remember that. If you want to take my blood, you’ll have to drain it from my cold dead body. I don’t care who you are. That is way passed the line. It’s stupid things like this that make some people turn to the fake stuff. Remember kids, the fake stuff is far more dangerous than the real stuff. Fact. Would you ever submit to a blood test? I’m curious where our listeners stand on this.

My apologies, it was Cary Gary who sent in the Five Horrible Things about growing pot story. Not Berger. My mistake. Please keep sending us stuff to talk about. It’s great! This was a great list I might not have ever seen otherwise. So even if you think a ton of people already sent in a particular story, if it’s new, send it anyway. It only takes a second.

So let me get this straight Virginia, you want to study the benefits of selling marijuana in liquor stores? You get the dumb state of the week award. I had to double check to make sure this wasn’t an Onion article. Sometimes they sneak in our serious news talk, because of how ridiculous the war on drugs is.

Here is another list from Cracked, six things you won’t believe are more legal than pot. It’s somewhat amusing, but not as good as the other list. Is it just me or does this feel like a homage to David Letterman. So what do you all know about DXM?

Someone in the chat sent in this piece about students for sensible drug policy. It seems they are questioning our presidential candidates. It’s about time someone did. Don’t let them use their bullshit speak to weasel their way out of hypocrisy.
